Subaru Tribeca is another medium sized SUV developed and traded by Japanese automaker Subaru.
For the first time, it was traded as a 2006 model with seven seats and five seats trims.
This was developed on the platform of Subaru Legacy and was very much inspired by the B9X concept car.
Currently, the second generation of Subaru Tribeca is under production.
The Tribeca label borrows design features from the TriBeCa, and it’s the only car offered with a standard AWD, rather than the rear wheel drive and FWD configurations.
2005 Subaru Tribeca
The Tribeca was featured with a rounded body shape and a triangular shaped grille. It also used an Impreza with grille styling and the JDM Subaru R1 and R2 kei vehicle parts with a same reaction. From that point, Subaru had abounded the styling amenity for its further models that were produced from 2006.
Initially, the Tribeca was motorized by a EZ30 3.0 L boxer engine, priced at about US$ 38,320. For 2007, it was somewhat reworked; the renewed model was introduced at the Chicago Auto Show that was included with revised struts, grille, spring rates, and stabilizer bars.
Interior Highlights
Its interior region was included with
• iPod connectors,
• XM Satellite Radio,
• backup camera,
• an optional parking assist system, and
• navigation system.
The special edition package was included with special wheels, an XM radio, and a mesh grille.
2008 Facelift
The 2008 version received a facelift, and it was showcased in 2007 at the New York International Auto Show. Along with facelift, it received a powerful EZ36 3.6 L H6 engine that could develop 256 hp of power.
The rear side of the vehicle was also slightly redesigned; it had more rounded tail lamps and the “cutout” mounted on the bumper had been taken off. It had a reshaped rear side window too.
Coming to interior styling, it had unchanged interior styling, however its 2nd row seats had been redesigned for easier access and more room in the 3rd row. The restyled Tribeca had lot of similarity with mock-ups of the future Saab 9-6X and the Chrysler Pacifica.
What’s New in Latest Subaru Tribeca Models?
It is using an aluminum alloy boxer engine along with different products to ease the implementation of powertrain and to reduce the powertrain’s weight too.
The engine was affixed longitudinally or in line with the transmission, in the absence of transverse or offset, which is generally seen on AWD and FWD models.
